HOW TO VISIT STOCKBRIDGE SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE

So… you’ve perused our website, read about our majors, saw our recent news, checked out our Instagram, and watched a few videos from our YouTube channel.  Maybe you even checked out some media coverage of our and our alumni's recent accomplishments on our Facebook page.  Now it’s time to arrange a visit to see us in person.  Stockbridge School of Agriculture is located on the UMass Amherst campus.  We’re excited to have you visit both UMass and the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, and we’ve got a lot to show you.

REGISTER WITH BOTH UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS AND THE STOCKBRIDGE SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE

We recommend that you first Request a University Admissions TourWe strongly recommend visiting UMass on a weekday.  If you choose to visit on a weekend, you may find that buildings of interest are locked, faculty and staff are off-duty, and students are less available on campus to chat.  If you want to attend both the Information Session and the University tour offered by Admissions, we recommend that you arrive on campus by 9am or 10am for a Stockbridge tour, have lunch at our famously #1-ranked dining commons, and then attend the Admissions events in the afternoon.

Once you have reserved your spot with UMass Admissions, you can then Register for a Personalized Tour of StockbridgePlease avoid these dates during which we are unable to provide a Stockbridge tour:

  • Friday March 8
  • Monday April 15 (Patriots Day)
  • Friday April 26
  • Wednesday May 22 through Monday May 27 (Memorial Day)

As the date for your visit approaches, Nessim Watson (he/him), our Stockbridge Director of Student Recruitment, will reach out to you by email to arrange for your visit to Stockbridge either before or after your University Admissions program.

COVID HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Our campus is doing exceptionally well.  Fall 2021 marked our full return to in-person learning and the campus is bustling with activity.  More than 97% of our students, faculty, and staff are vaccinated.  Our campus also led the way in providing free testing services for Western Massachusetts residents.  Our strategic and organized response to the pandemic continues to produce one of the lowest positivity rates in both our state and the nation.  As a result, UMass has lifted its indoor mask requirement. Visitors are encouraged to adopt the public health protocols applicable to their own circumstances.
