The Terry Maloney Scholarship was established to honor the innovation and pioneering work of Terry Maloney, the father of the craft cider movement and West County Cider. This scholarship, although modest, seeks to support students who are increasing their knowledge and practice of apple growing with a special focus on apples used in fermentation.

This scholarship is in honor of a man, Terry Maloney, who played & worked with cider's potential. He learned as he worked, his friendships grew with the orchard & cider business. He hoped that he was part of something that would continue, a cider revival that is built upon the local cider pleasures of the past.

This $1000 scholarship will be granted at the discretion of the Cider Days Committee, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. Please apply with a short essay, relevant coursework, and GPA. Preference for MA residents.

Deadline for applications is October 15, 2015.
