The University of Massachusetts Amherst Stockbridge Associate Degree Commencement Ceremony will take place Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Bowker Auditorium, Stockbridge Hall.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst looks forward to celebrating the graduates of the Class of 2022 and welcoming their friends and families to campus. As cases of COVID-19 are increasing in Massachusetts and nationally, we know that our commencement events draw thousands from all over. To protect yourself and others, we strongly encourage all graduates and guests to wear a face covering when attending any indoor commencement events, regardless of vaccination status.

Schedule of Events

  • 11:00 a.m.   Candidates arrive with robes for mandatory rehearsal in Bowker Auditorium
  • 12:00 noon Candidates gather on front steps of Stockbridge Hall for class photo
  • 12:30 p.m.   Candidates assemble in the basement of Stockbridge Hall
  • 12:55 p.m.   Procession of candidates
  • 1:00 p.m.     Ceremony begins
  • 2:00 p.m.     Ceremony ends. Reception follows immediately on east lawn

Please note that this ceremony is exclusively for Stockbridge Associate Degree students who have completed their requirements and have a graduation date of January 2022 or May 2022, and their guests.

Students with a January 2022 graduation date who wish to attend the May 2022 ceremony must email Elizabeth Wiernasz or see her in Paige Room 211 before April 5 to be included in the ceremony.
