Our Destination Day group events have passed, but you can still arrange your own personalized tour of Stockbridge, on the weekday of your choosing, at our Visit Page.

Have you been admitted to the University of Massachusetts?  Congratulations!  Our faculty, staff, and students are thrilled to see you in person for the events below.

Please note that you MUST be a newly admitted student to access the events below.

If you have not yet applied to UMass, we want you to visit us too.  Information for future applicants is available at our VISIT tab.

DESTINATION DAYS: FEBRUARY 19 AND MARCH 27

We know you have important decisions to make about where to attend college.  These events are intended to show you why you belong at UMass!

Stockbridge School of Agriculture will host two Destination Day events, on Saturday February 19, and Sunday March 27, in conjunction with the University's own events on those dates.

Both Stockbridge Destination Day events will be held from 10am to Noon.  We'll give a brief presentation about the Stockbridge School.  Then, based on your major(s) of interest, we'll offer guided tours of our plant labs, greenhouses, permaculture gardens, or landscape modeling studios, as appropriate.  You'll be able to meet and chat with our faculty and students, learn the course requirements for our majors, and get a good look at our campus too.

Meet us at 10am in the Intergrated Learning Center (ILC), Room S-231 for our Stockbridge School presentation.  The ILC is in C3 on the campus map linked below, and S-231 is on the second floor.  Tours will leave from the ILC around 10:15am.  If you will need assistance due to mobility issues, please email njwatson@umass.edu.  Check back frequently, as any additional information about our Stockbridge Destination Day event will be posted here.

During the same day, the University will be hosting a Community Expo Fair where you can meet representative of different student clubs, as well as staff from support services such as the Career Center, Residential Life, and the Counseling Center for Psychological Health.  Take a full campus tour, meet with financial aid representatives, or hear from a panel of students from diverse backgrounds.

See more information about the University Destination Days Schedule of Events.  Please note that Stockbridge will only be open on the Februrary 19 and March 27 dates.  Admitted students will receive an email inviting them to register for a Destination Days date.

AFTER YOUR TOUR

At the end of your tour, feel free to visit our home base building, Paige Laboratory, in B3 on the campus map below.  At Paige, see our Living Wall, an innovative vertical watering system that feeds our growing wall of indoor plants.  There, we'll be selling Stockbridge School of Agriculture shirts, caps, hoodies, coffee mugs, and umbrellas.  It's a great way to celebrate your decision to attend UMass, and can be a meaningful graduation gift for that high school senior in your house... (hint-hint).

COVID HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Our campus is doing exceptionally well.  Fall 2021 marked our full return to in-person learning and the campus is bustling with activity.  So far, more than 97% of our students, faculty, and staff are vaccinated.  Our campus also led the way in providing free testing services for Western Massachusetts residents.  Our strategic and organized response to the pandemic continues to produce one of the lowest positivity rates in both our state and the nation.  As a result, UMass has lifted its indoor mask requirement. Visitors are encouraged to adopt the public health protocols applicable to their own circumstances.  See the most updated information on our protocols, and our success rate.
