Construction Division Manager Job Description Responsibilities: 1. Manage production of Construction Division Crew(s) 2. Sales of all Construction Division work 3. P&L Reporting of completed work 4. Hiring and Developing Employees 5. Quality Control 6. Client Satisfaction 7. Scheduling 8. Safety 9. Equipment Results 1. Projects are completed on time and budget 2. Ensures daily, weekly production goals are met 3. Ensures Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly sales goals are met a. Work is sold at 50% GM or better to achieve division goal of 10% net 4. Ensure employees are participating training program and pursuing industry certifications, results will be measured by Employees moving up the training board and up the career ladder. 5. Quality Control inspections done whenever on job sites a. Issues identified are documented, addressed and filed with Crew Member files as completed training 6. Client Satisfaction is measured with survey after each project 7. Safety results will be no lost time due to avoidable injury, reduction in Insurance Mod 8. Equipment results will be no lost time due to equipment issues Hours 6:30am-5pm Mon –Fri evenings for client meetings (spring hours, summer hours reduce based on demand) 6:30-2 Sat as needed for client meetings and Crew support (typically spring only) Winter Hours 8-3:30, excluding snow Wage type Salary, weekly Year round position Supervisor Company Owner Personnel Supervised Construction Installation crew of 3-4 on regular basis, up to 5 as needed Job Duties 1. Client meetings 2. Design/ Estimating 3. Proposal preparation, presentation 4. Ensure Crew(s) have required materials, information and man power to complete their jobs on time and budget 5. A/R for Construction division 6. Assist in P&L reporting weekly, adjust bidding going forward based on results of P&L loss leader identification 7. All leads are followed up on within 24 hours 8. Proposals delivered in 1 week or less 9. Pipeline is maintained weekly or more frequently 10. Project Management 11. Identify potential upsell opportunities on jobs 12. Training field workers as needed as part of on boarding process 13. Occasional field work to help make client deadlines 14. Train new employees on company SOP’s as part of on boarding process 15. Participate in screening and hiring new employees 16. Participate in networking meetings (BNI) 9. All work is scheduled as soon as the deposit is received a. Client communication throughout time leading up to proposed start date with any changes or just to confirm 17. Job Organization of materials and tools to ensure efficient job flow 18. Job Layout 19. Material procuring 20. Enforce SOP’s on job site 21. Customer service interaction to answer questions, address concerns 22. Detailed record keeping of materials, hours , jobs burned down daily 23. Supports Crew Leader is enforcing safety guidelines in field, all identified safety issues from Crew Leader are dealt with by Project Manager 24. Support of Equipment maintenance including washing weekly. 25. Supports Crew Leader with equipment repairs, procuring replacement equip to ensure no downtime 26. Snow Removal in the winter is required in some capacity (Running truck, equip etc) 27. Duties listed here are not all encompassing, additional duties may be required as needed Knowledge /Skills Required 1. 3+ years of installation experience with a minimum of 1 year of Crew Leading experience 2. Sales expereince 3. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record 4. 1-5 Industry certifications 5. Must be able to read plans and set grades 6. Professional/ presentable appearance and demeanor 7. Demonstrate problem solving skills 8. High School diploma 9. Must be able to set and follow through with personal/ professional goals Physical Requirements 1. Must be physically fit for occasional field work 2. Able to lift over 50lbs repeatedly 3. Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time. 4. Able to work in all weather conditions
